5 things I’m loving/excited about:

  • Holidays Made Easy with Trello – You guys know about my love for Trello! I’m super pumped this year to be using Trello to get organized for the holidays. Check out this Holiday Gift Shopping from Trello for inspiration on how to use this cool free tool to get more organized than ever.
  • What I’m Reading – Super Accelerated Living by Bentinho Massaro. The ebook is available for free if you have Kindle Unlimited (so awesome!)
  • Best Investment Under $15 – I just recently upgraded my $9.99/month Spotify account to a Spotify Family account. This means that up to 5 people under one roof can have their own premium accounts for one monthly charge of $14.99! My family is so stoked and now we don’t fight over who gets to listen to music or get annoyed by other people’s playlists cluttering things up.
  • What I’m Proud of – I made it to 100 days in Shannon Algeo’s #GratefulUnicorn 100 Day Challenge and I’ve decided to keep going! This group and practice has totally transformed my life. I’m now shooting for 365 days! Come join the fun if you are a magical unicorn looking for a fun, safe, supportive sacred space to make gratitude a part of your everyday life.
  • What I’ve been eating – Beef stew! It’s been cozier weather here in the islands with a little more rain and temperatures cooling just a bit. Perfect weather for grassfed beef stew! I’ve been throwing everything in the crock pot in the morning and coming home to warm, delicious stew and rice! Here’s a recipe I loosely follow (I switch all the ingredients to organic and skip the regular flour).

Have a wonderful weekend!

Ask Yourself This Question to Bring More Mindfulness to Your Time + Energy

Kimi’s 5-Bullet Friday

Happy Aloha Friday! It’s been another full week of stretching, learning new tech tools, growing our business, and coaching clients. With a very full schedule, I’ve been extra mindful to stop and ask myself one of my favorite questions for managing my time + energy: “Is this a good use of my time?” This simple question is a powerful hack for snapping yourself out of Facebook rabbit holes, silly low-level tasks, and those ego-driven moments of trying to figure something out on your own when you could just ask someone who knows (hello, tech support). Give it a try! As you go about your daily tasks, set a timer to periodically ask yourself, “is this a good use of my time?” The answer may be YES, it may be NO, but the real power is not in the answer, but rather the habit you’re creating of bringing mindfulness to how you’re spending your precious time and energy!

And now for 5 things I’ve been enjoying and pondering:

  • What I’ve been talking a lot about lately – Weekly Planning. This is one of the most impactful habits I have and something we recommend to all of our clients. Weekly planning is so powerful and it’s a great tool not just for individuals, but for partners, teams, and families. Check out our podcast episode about this!
  • What I’ve added to my wellness routine – Awaken.yoga. Online yoga + meditation classes created by my friend Shannon and 2 other awesome yogis. I’m obsessed! Great routines to start your day, to restore mid-day, or to add to your evening routine. Embody your body and tune in to your highest self!
  • Quote I’m pondering – “If we don’t change what isn’t working in our lives, we will continually have the same day over and over again.” – Daily Om
  • Podcast I’m loving  Kwik Brain. I love this podcast from Jim Kwik!!! Bite site brain hacks for busy people who want to learn faster and achieve more. So good!
  • What I’ve been eating – Super easy quinoa chili. I made a version of this with kidney beans instead and just cooked it on the stove. Super simple, delicious, and great for cozy nights and the leftovers are great for lunches. Top it with organic sour cream, avocado, fresh herbs, and tortilla chips! Yum!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. I currently have just 1 spot available for one-on-one coaching. I’m holding space for the PERFECT client: a fun, high-performer ready for deep accountability and support to reach their goals. Someone ready to master productivity, time + energy management so that they can serve at the highest level. Someone ready to take things to the next level physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in this last quarter of 2017.

If this is you or someone you know, let’s talk!

P.S. Shift to Rise! Early bird rates for our Shift to Rise retreat are open until the end of November & room reservations are first come, first served! If you feel even a little pull to find out more, apply today! Your application is an invitation to a conversation with us. It is neither a commitment to attend nor does it guarantee you a spot at our event. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know you and hear more about your goals, as well as a chance for you to ask us any questions you have about the retreat. We’re so excited!

Stretching

Happy Friday! Hope you’ve had a wonderful week. I don’t know about you, but I have been doing some major upleveling lately (ugh/yay). In the past week I’ve been called to reevaluate and rethink relationships, commitments, business structures, software, systems…it’s been a week of STRETCHING for sure. And while times like these can be uncomfortable and exhausting, they are a necessary and exciting part of our Best Life Ever! If you find yourself in a period of stretching, there’s no better time to activate deep gratitude and self-care in your life. The 100 Days of Gratitude group I’m in on FB has really been helping me navigate this period of STRETCH and I’ve also been extra mindful to eat well, move my body, and get lots of sleep and quiet time. It also comforts me to remember that I’m stretching to become better – a better mom, a better coach, a better healer, a better human. Remember – stretching and “struggle” is always happening FOR our own personal growth and evolution (even if we don’t like it or understand it in the moment!).

And now for 5 things I’ve been enjoying and pondering:

  • What I’m excited about – Shift to Rise! Pua and I have partnered with two other transformational coaches for an epic retreat in Spring 2018 and we just launched! This 5-day live event provides powerful training, deep connections, and unique opportunities to remember who you really are and reclaim your power. This all-inclusive experience includes a 4-night stay at a private estate in beautiful Hau`ula on the North Shore of `Oahu, Hawai`i. Nourishing food, activities, and retreat materials, are all included in the request of appreciation. We are now accepting applications! So exciting!
  • Service I’m grateful for – Fancyhands. This is a collective of US-based assistants at very affordable monthly rates. They can’t do everything and the quality of work you get back will depend on how good you are at outsourcing (in fact, using them is a great way to get better at this skill), but if you’re creative, you can save yourself a TON of time with things like data entry, making appointments, research, etc.
  • What I’m reading online  GoodVibeBlog.com Vibration Activation Scripts! I love Jeanette Mah and these little scripts are such a great way to start your day, finish your day, or just get out of a funk. They raise my vibe every time.
  • What I’ve been eating – It’s been an Aloha Kitchen Goddess week, so we’ve been eating GOOD. This past week she made us this amazing dish – fajita seasoned chickpeas and veggies that we’ve been putting on top of quinoa and topping with her Paleo ranch dressing and toasted almond slivers. So simple, so good. I might try to recreate it – only problem is that I hate chopping vegetables and cleaning up my cooking mess. I like cooking, just not all the other parts which is exactly why I love Fortuna’s services!
  • Community I love – The Mindful Lounge on Facebook, created by my dear friend Keao. Keao is a spiritual medium whose services include mediumship readings, pet connections, and energy healing experiences she created called The Petal Process. Keao is passionate about helping other healers to “come out of the closet” and truly own their gifts. It was from this inspiration that she created The Mindful Lounge, an online community and video series for “healers in hiding” and anyone raising the vibration of love and healing in the World. You’ll love it there. Check it out.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. As always, if you’re looking for support on your journey and would like to save time, energy, and stress in the pursuit of your goals, reach out. Time is a precious resource that we don’t get it back. What inspired action can you take today to create your Best Life Ever?

Big hugs,

Kimi

Are you Comfortably Uncomfortable?

This has been a weird week with lots of heavy energy in the air. Hope you all are doing OK and that you’ve gentle with yourself as you process all the emotions that may have been coming up for you this week. Consider a little extra self-care this weekend.  Slowing down, meditating, journaling, getting out in nature, and talking with a trusted friend, mentor, coach or counselor can all help. Take a few moments to ask your inner wisdom what you need most right now.

And now for 5 things I’ve been enjoying and pondering:

  • Quote I’m pondering – “If you don’t take action, don’t expect change” from this awesome article about why the majority of people don’t reach their goals (they are “comfortably uncomfortable” in their current circumstances). So good!
  • App I’m (still) loving – Funny Movie Maker! This past week I rediscovered this hilarious app on my phone. Our family has been having fun sending ridiculous messages to each other with photos of our pets talking. It’s the best thing ever.
  • Service I’m grateful for – Upwork. This global freelancing platform has 12 million(!) registered freelancers and allows you to interview, hire and work with freelancers and agencies through their platform. We’re working with a wonderful SEO/wordpress expert from India name Soni who is doing an incredible amount of quality work for us for $100. We’ve used Upwork for all kinds of projects such as PDF and eBook creation, graphic design – the possibilities are endless!
  • Cool network I love – NextDoor.com This is the free private social network for your neighborhood community. I love being plugged in to all the happenings in my neighborhood and being able to post/comment/direct message neighbors. Makes me feel safe, connected, and supported in my ‘hood.
  • Supplements I’m obsessed with – Ciltep, Dopamine, and MycoMind from Natural Stacks! We were sent some samples from this amazing company and OMG my brain has been ON FIRE! Taken in the morning on an empty stomach, these natural brain optimization supplements clear up brain fog and supercharge memory, motivation, focus, and creativity!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Remember, don’t let being “comfortably uncomfortable” in your current circumstances stop you from reaching your goals. If you want to take your life to the next level, ask yourself what NEW action, big or small, you can take TODAY.

And if you want an objective perspective, powerful accountability, and would like to save time, energy, and stress in the pursuit of your goals, reach out to me. Time is a precious resource that we don’t get it back. Let’s get you to where you want to go.

5-Bullet Aloha Friday

IMG_0126

So…I turn 42 on Sunday. Forty freakin’ two. In many ways I still feel like I’m 22, but thank God I’m not the 22 year-old me anymore. I’m so grateful for all growth, clarity, awareness, strength, and grit the past 20 years of life experience has given me. If I were to go back and give 22 year old me some advice, I’d tell her to find a mentor, take up jiu jitsu, invest in Apple, read more, and give less of a f*ck about what other people think. But mostly, I’d just let know that it’s all gonna work out because, as my friend Tarah likes to say, “you literally can’t screw this up.” At times, it might feel like we’re “screwing up” in life, but we’re always experiencing exactly what we need to (see Eckart Tolle #truthbomb below). This weekend, as you do your weekly planning or journaling, ask yourself the question: “What bold action would you take today if you knew that you couldn’t screw up your life?” You might be surprised at what your heart has to say.

A list of what I’m enjoying and pondering…

  1. Quote I’m pondering: “Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness. How do you know this is the experience you need? Because this is the experience you are having at the moment.” – Eckhart Tolle
  2. Course I’m signed up for: This FREE course from Bentinho Massaro. The 40-Day Redesign is a free initiative to support as many people as possible in their journey to realizing what’s truly in their Heart/Soul. We want to bring your light to Earth and co-create an Enlightened Civilization (or simply: A Happy Planet)!
  3. What I’m teaching my teenage daughter: T.H.I.N.K. before you post on media. I’ve been teaching her (and reminding myself) to slow down and ask before posting – Is it true? Is it Helpful? Is it Inspiring? Is it Necessary? Is it Kind (This is a great reminder for all of us lightworkers and soul-based businesses wanting to share with authenticity, integrity, and intention)
  4. What I’ve had to do for myself lately: Write an “I done this” list at the end of the day to put things into perspective. I recommend this tip often to my high achiever clients. Writing a daily “Ta Da” list instead of a “To Do” list is great when we’re feeling like we’re not getting done as much as we want to, but we have the sneaking suspicion that we’re dealing with a bit of Superhero Syndrome (trying to do more than humanly possibly in one day). Simply take a few moments at the end of the day to write out all the things you got done…you’ll probably go to bed feeling a lot more proud and less anxious.
  5. App I’m loving: Calm. I feel like I’ve tried every meditation app on the planet. I find this one simple and easy to use.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Life is precious and we have a limited time on this planet, so take some bold inspired action and have some cake and champagne this weekend (I know I will!)

And if you’re a leader, healer, or lightworker looking to take your business and life to the next level, book a conversation with me here. A single conversation can lead to powerful transformation. Here’s what one amazing client shared after completing her program with me:

“Having the opportunity to have Kimi as my coach has been such a positive and invaluable experience. It has allowed me to trust my feelings and follow my heart. Thank you so much, Kimi! “- L

I’m humbled and honored to be able to be of service in this way. I love this work and would love the opportunity to help you figure out your next steps to greatness.

Happy Almost April!

A fresh new month is around the corner and Spring is in the air. Can you feel it? Maybe, like me, you’ve been called to do a bit of slowing down and reflecting as we head into the second quarter of the year.

I confess, I’ve been feeling extra introverted. The thing is, whenever I feel the need to cocoon more, there’s always another part of me that feels like I should be doing more. I have to consciously remind myself that MORE isn’t always better. Also, that SHOULD word is my red flag that I’m listening to my ego instead of my spirit.

Take a moment right now and ask YOUR spirit what it is calling for more of? Less of? Go ahead. Just stop reading for a second, close your eyes, and see what comes up for you.

This is the perfect time of year to do a little inventory of your life. What’s working? What isn’t? What is your vision for the next 90 days and what inspired action are you going to take? And of course, how are you going to hold yourself accountable for the things that you want to create in your life?

Whatever your spirit is calling you to put energy towards this Spring, I’d love to support you. I have some Spring Coaching specials just for you. I encourage you to take inspired action and book a productivity, time, + energy coaching session with me today!

P.S. Pua and I have a fun episode of our Best Life Ever podcast coming out Sunday morning called “How to Reboot Your Body, Brain, and Heart” that I think you’ll love. Take a moment to subscribe so you don’t miss it! Lots of ideas to reset, refocus, and reenergize for Spring!
